About the Book
This book is an abridged and edited translation of Dr. Miltiadis Anghelatos’ seven-hundred-page work on the subject of “Biblical Greece”. Titled Travels in Biblical Greece: The Travels of the Apostle Paul in the Greek region, from Samothrace to Gavdos.
The book represents a detailed and meticulously studied attempt to provide an adequate historical and archaeological context to and interpretation of those sections of Luke’s narrative that correspond to the region of modern Greece and to Paul’s letters to the local churches.
At the same time, it is meant to function as a textual tour-guide to the cities Paul visited, to relevant archaeological sites and sites that are of cultural importance or that might enhance the visitor’s experience (such as Olympia).
